Paris Saint-Germain have confirmed that winger Ousmane Dembélé has suffered a hamstring injury, casting significant doubt over his availability for next week’s UEFA Champions League semi-final second leg against Arsenal.
The French forward was the match-winner at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday, scoring the only goal inside four minutes to give PSG a narrow 1–0 lead heading into the return leg in Paris. However, Dembélé was forced off in the second half and has since been unable to train with the squad.
In a medical update released on Friday, the Ligue 1 champions revealed: “Ousmane Dembélé has strained his right hamstring. His condition is progressing well. A further assessment will be carried out shortly.”

PSG manager Luis Enrique confirmed that Dembélé will not feature in this weekend’s Ligue 1 clash against Strasbourg, a low-stakes fixture given that PSG have already secured the league title.

“He won’t play, that’s for sure,” Enrique said during his pre-match press conference. “It’s not serious, it’s something very minor, but he’s probably a doubt for the second leg. We’ll try to get Ousmane back, but if he doesn’t play, we’re still a real team. We’ve said that since the beginning of the season.”

Ousmane Dembélé also attempted to downplay concerns after Tuesday’s match, telling L’Équipe: “I felt a little something, but it’s okay.”
The 26-year-old has been a pivotal figure in PSG’s campaign, contributing 33 goals in all competitions this season, including 11 direct goal involvements in the Champions League. His tally of 30 goal contributions in 2025 is unmatched across Europe’s top five leagues.
With PSG facing a relatively inconsequential domestic match against Strasbourg on Saturday and Arsenal preparing to host Bournemouth in a must-win Premier League clash, both sides will be managing their squads carefully ahead of next week’s decisive encounter at the Parc des Princes.
