Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) manager Luis Enrique has issued a strong warning to Arsenal ahead of their Champions League semi-final first leg clash at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night.
Both sides are chasing their first-ever Champions League title, with the winner of the tie set to face either Barcelona or Inter Milan in the final. PSG booked their place in the last four by knocking out Premier League champions Liverpool in the round of 16 before defeating Aston Villa in the quarter-finals. Arsenal, meanwhile, eased past PSV Eindhoven and followed it up with an impressive victory over Real Madrid to reach the semi-finals.
Tuesday’s meeting will be the first between Arsenal and PSG since October, when Mikel Arteta’s side secured a 2-0 win in the group stage. However, Enrique has warned that his team has significantly improved since then.

“That was seven or eight months ago,” Enrique said during his pre-match press conference. “I watched the game again — we’re a much better team today.”
Despite reaching the Champions League final in 2020 — where they were beaten by Bayern Munich — PSG have never lifted the coveted trophy. But Enrique was quick to point out that Arsenal share a similar history.

“PSG have never won the Champions League? Neither have Arsenal,” he noted. “We mustn’t let that weigh us down. We have to focus on performing at the highest level.”
Enrique also reserved praise for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, highlighting the remarkable progress the Gunners have made under his leadership. Since taking over in 2019, Arteta has guided Arsenal to an FA Cup triumph and two Community Shield victories.
“They’re one of the best teams in Europe and they’ve been doing a remarkable job with their coach for several years now,” Enrique said.
