Napoli planning to ‘forcefully return’ for Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior

Serie A giants Napoli are planning to renew their long-term interest in signing Arsenal centre-back Jakub Kiwior this summer, according to Il Mattino.
The Poland international has had limited playing time since his move to the Gunners from Spezia, but he has stepped up in the injury absence of Gabriel Magalhaes this year.
Despite multiple stand-out displays, the 25-year-old is reportedly considering a potential return to Serie A during this summer’s transfer window.
Kiwior’s representative has been approached by several clubs including AC Milan, but Napoli are said to be leading the race for the defender.
The Serie A leaders are ready to ‘forcefully return’ for the Pole as they aim to bolster their central defensive department ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Napoli have an edge over Milan with Champions League football, but they will have to discuss a permanent deal to persuade the Gunners.
Arsenal turned down a loan approach from Napoli for Kiwior in January. They are now asking for £29.4 million to part ways with the versatile ace.
Arsenal may want a replacement if Kiwior opts to leave
Kiwior has fared impressively after Gabriel’s season-ending hamstring injury. He has outshone Saliba, who has been prone to multiple defensive errors.
The centre-back has managed to win over the club’s faithful with his performances, but he could be tempted to pursue a new challenge this summer.
Kiwior is unlikely to start in the Premier League and European games when Gabriel returns to full fitness next term. This could urge him to move on.
However, Arsenal may want a solid left-footed replacement in the squad to consider his sale.
Ajax wonderkid Jorrel Hato has been a long-term target for the Gunners, and the Dutchman recently admitted that Jurrien Timber is his role model.
The 19-year-old is a good ball-playing centre-back, and Arsenal could revive their long-term pursuit if Kiwior were to depart for regular game time.
