Paris Saint-Germain defender Marquinhos has sent a clear message to Arsenal ahead of their highly anticipated Champions League semi-final clash.
The French giants take on the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday night in the first leg of their semifinal tie.
Marquinhos, speaking to DAZN, acknowledged Arsenal’s strength from set pieces, an area of the game that PSG will need to be wary of in the upcoming match. “We’re very demanding and we’re going to continue to be so,” Marquinhos said. “In football, there are strategies. Arsenal are strong from set pieces. We’ll try to do our best to get a result there. We’ve had a very good season so far; we’ll keep working hard.”

The PSG defender’s comments come after PSG’s recent 3-1 loss to Nice in Ligue 1, a match in which they conceded one goal from a set piece. Despite the defeat, PSG have already secured the Ligue 1 title and will be looking to make a strong impression in the Champions League.
Arsenal, meanwhile, will be hoping to build on their impressive run in the competition. The Gunners drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace in their last Premier League match and will be looking to make a strong statement against PSG.

The winner of the tie will advance to the final in Munich, where they will face either Barcelona or Inter Milan.
