Former Manchester City defender Kyle Walker has heaped praise on Arsenal star Bukayo Saka, lauding the young winger’s impressive return from a long-term injury that had sidelined him earlier in the season.
Saka, who recently returned to action following surgery, has quickly reestablished himself as one of Arsenal’s standout performers. His resurgence has come at a pivotal time for the Gunners, who stunned European giants Real Madrid with a 5-1 aggregate win in the Champions League quarter-finals, booking a semi-final showdown with Paris Saint-Germain.
Speaking on his podcast, Walker – now playing for AC Milan – expressed his admiration for Saka’s resilience and impact.

“Bukayo Saka is a lovable character. I think the numbers speak for themselves — what he’s done since coming back is just madness,” Walker said. “To be at a club like Arsenal, at his age, and take on the role and responsibilities that he has, you have to take your hat off to him.”

Walker highlighted Saka’s immediate impact upon his return, notably his goal just seven minutes into his comeback appearance against Fulham.
“To come back after surgery and score within seven minutes — it’s madness,” he added. “It just sums B up as a person. The hard work and dedication he’s put in to get back and help the team so quickly is unbelievable.”

Though not yet back to his full statistical output, Saka’s performances have been crucial. He has scored twice since his return — including a sensational goal at the Bernabéu, underlining his ability to deliver on the biggest stages.
While Declan Rice has also earned praise for his commanding midfield displays, Saka’s return has given Arsenal a fresh attacking spark as they chase European glory.
With a Champions League semi-final looming and Arsenal still fighting on multiple fronts, many expect Bukayo Saka to once again play a decisive role.
