Luis Enrique reveals PSG game plan for UCL first leg semi-final clash with Arsenal
Paris Saint-Germain’s coach, Luis Enrique, has opened up on his team’s strategy ahead of the highly anticipated UEFA Champions League semi-final first-leg against Arsenal.
PSG will travel to the Emirates Stadium on April 29, eight days before the second leg at Parc des Princes.
In a post-match interview after PSG’s 1-1 draw against Nantes, Enrique was asked if playing against low blocks in Ligue 1 prepares his team well for the game against Arsenal. The Spanish coach emphasized the importance of adaptability, stating that PSG must be ready for anything.
“It will depend on how Arsenal play, on the scenario, if they press, if they score and become cautious,” Enrique said. “It will depend on the match they propose. And regardless of what we like or not, low block, mid block, or pressing, PSG must be ready for anything.”

Enrique and his team are aware of Arsenal’s highly defensive tactics and are already prepared for any scenario. PSG have been free-scoring in the Champions League this season, netting five times across two matches against Aston Villa in the quarter-final.
The team defeated the English team Aston Villa 3-1 in the first leg of the quarter-final, although Aston Villa sparked a comeback in the second leg, defeating the French champions 3-2 at Villa Park, though PSG held on to secure their spot in the semi-finals.
PSG prepares to face Arsenal, and the team will look to build on their recent form and exploit any weaknesses in the Gunners’ defense.

Arteta has hinted that Arsenal cannot afford to take their foot off the pedal, even with the Premier League title race heating up. “We can’t think about resting players or thinking about the next game,” Arteta said”.
Arsenal played a 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at the Emirates Stadium last weekend and will be hoping to regroup before the crucial match with PSG.
