Kevin De Bruyne says one Arsenal player was ‘so good ‘ in Manchester City goodbye speech
Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne has lavished praise on his former teammate Raheem Sterling, who currently plays for Arsenal on loan from Chelsea.
De Bruyne expressed his admiration for Sterling ahead of his departure from the Etihad Stadium, highlighting their successful partnership during their time at Manchester City.
De Bruyne praised Sterling’s willingness to run deep, creating options for him to play in the space and make decisive passes. “He was so, so good,” De Bruyne said. “What made Raz and me so complementary together, he was a willing runner, he runs deep. Every player that runs deep with me helps me out so much more.”

Their partnership, along with Kyle Walker, formed a potent triangle that worked seamlessly. De Bruyne appreciated Sterling’s understanding of his movements, saying, “If I have the ball and he runs deep, I will try to get him the ball.”
De Bruyne also praised other Arsenal players, including Oleksandr Zinchenko, commending Zinchenko’s performances for Arsenal, calling him “unbelievable” and saying he’s “doing really good”.

De Bruyne also raved about Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard’s skills, saying he’s been “amazing” for Arsenal.
He noted that Odegaard’s youth gives him an edge, but believes Bruno Fernandes is slightly better due to his experience.
De Bruyne’s praise for Arsenal players comes as he prepares to bid farewell to Manchester City. His comments highlight the respect and admiration he has for his former teammates and the Premier League.
De Bruyne has also expressed appreciation for Arsenal as a team, calling them “exceptional” and praising their energy and young players.
He acknowledged the challenge of playing against top-tier teams like Arsenal, saying, “It’s hard to play against every team. Everyone does such good business and gets so much quality in it”
