Arsenal sporting director is reportedly intensifying efforts to sign Chelsea striker Christopher Nkunku this summer to replace injury-prone striker Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz.
The Gunners have maintained a smooth business record with Chelsea over the years. Peter Cech, Jorginho, Kai Havertz, Raheem Sterling have all joined Arsenal from Chelsea in the last decade with Christopher Nkunku likely being the next in line.
The 27-year-old French forward has struggled to find regular playing time at Stamford Bridge, and it is believed that he may be looking to leave the club.
Nkunku joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig in 2023 but has faced injury setbacks and limited playing opportunities. Despite this, he has shown his quality with 17 goals in 56 appearances in all competitions for the Blues. His pace, skill, and finishing ability would be a valuable asset to any team, and Arsenal is reportedly keen on securing his services.

Arsenal’s interest in Nkunku comes as the club prepares for a busy summer transfer window. With no major trophies won this season, the Gunners will be looking to strengthen their squad to make a serious challenge next term.
Mikel Arteta’s side has struggled in the absence of Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz in recent months, and Nkunku’s goalscoring ability could be a much-needed boost to their attack.
However, Chelsea may not be willing to sell Nkunku to Arsenal at a low price. The Blues paid 60 million euros for him in 2023, and they may be looking to recoup a significant portion of that fee.

Bayern Munich is also interested in signing Nkunku, which could drive up the price and make it more challenging for Arsenal to secure his services.

Nkunku’s potential departure from Chelsea would be a significant loss for the Blues. However, for Arsenal, it would be a shrewd signing, providing a much-needed boost to their attack.
The Gunners need a clinical finisher to complement their existing attacking options, and Nkunku’s versatility and technical ability could be valuable assets.
Paris Saint-Germain are also reportedly interested in the French forward, posing a major obstacle for other clubs. Manchester United is also interested in signing Nkunku, and they might benefit from Chelsea’s willingness to only send him out on loan.
