Raheem Sterling has been advised to pursue a “fresh challenge” at another Premier League club following his disappointing spells at Chelsea and Arsenal.
The 30-year-old winger endured a difficult season-long loan at the Emirates, where he managed just one goal in 28 appearances under Mikel Arteta. Despite Arsenal suffering an injury crisis in the second half of the campaign, Sterling struggled to secure regular minutes, with Arteta seemingly reluctant to rely on the England international.
Sterling’s stint in north London followed his exile from Chelsea, where new manager Enzo Maresca banished him from the first-team setup last summer. Although he is now expected to return to Stamford Bridge, his prospects of rejoining the Blues’ plans remain slim with Maresca still at the helm.
Former Arsenal and Chelsea defender William Gallas believes Sterling would benefit from a move to another top-flight club that can offer him consistent playing time. Speaking to Casino Games, Gallas suggested Fulham as a possible destination.

“I think it’s time for a fresh challenge for Raheem Sterling,” Gallas said. “He had the chance to show what he could do at Chelsea and then at Arsenal, but it hasn’t happened.

“I think one of Arteta’s biggest mistakes has been a lack of rotation at times. You have to give players a rest, but Sterling must be frustrated. Maybe he will want to stay in the Premier League and in London.

“He’s 30 now, but maybe a club like Fulham could give him that opportunity and more chances to play. I’m curious to see what happens next.”
Fulham, managed by Marco Silva, enjoyed another solid Premier League campaign, finishing 11th and reaching the FA Cup quarter-finals. A move to Craven Cottage could offer Sterling the regular minutes and fresh start he needs.
Sterling enjoyed the peak of his career at Manchester City, where he scored over 100 goals and won four Premier League titles. However, his recent form at both Chelsea and Arsenal has led to questions about his long-term future at the top level.
