Brighton & Hove Albion striker Joao Pedro is reportedly drawing serious interest from Arsenal, Liverpool, and Chelsea, with a summer transfer fee of around £59 million (€70m) being discussed. The 23-year-old Brazilian has impressed since joining the Seagulls in a club-record £30m deal from Watford in 2023, scoring 10 Premier League goals this season after netting nine in his debut campaign.

Despite a solid but not spectacular return, Pedro’s performances have put him on the radar of Europe’s elite clubs. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that top clubs are aware of the opportunity to sign him for the proposed fee, with Brighton likely to consider a sale if they can double their initial investment.

Pedro’s future has come under further scrutiny after he was unexpectedly left out of Brighton’s 3-2 victory over Liverpool on Monday. While the club cited “private reasons” for his absence, The Athletic later revealed that the striker had been involved in a training ground altercation with teammate Jan Paul van Hecke.

Brighton manager Fabian Hurzeler remained tight-lipped when questioned about Pedro’s availability, stating: “Joao had private reasons why he was not available. Let’s see how it is going to continue.”

The forward’s form this season has earned him a nomination for the Premier League’s Young Player of the Season award—a recognition Hurzeler believes reflects well on the entire club. “It’s not only an award for the individual player, but an award for the whole club and the way Brighton & Hove Albion is working,” he said.

With Pedro reportedly “open to a new chapter” in his career, a summer move could be on the cards if Brighton decide to cash in on their rising star.
