RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko has shed light on how he will approach a potential summer transfer, offering Arsenal valuable insight as they consider a move for the highly-rated forward.

The 21-year-old Slovenia international has attracted interest from several top European clubs after another impressive season in the Bundesliga. Despite nearly leaving Leipzig last summer, Sesko chose to stay and signed a new contract, prioritising regular first-team football over an immediate switch.

Reports last year suggested Sesko was hesitant about joining Arsenal due to concerns over game time, particularly with Kai Havertz enjoying a strong run as the club’s first-choice forward. However, the Gunners are expected to revisit their interest in the striker as they weigh up options between Sesko and Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres.

Arsenal are not alone in the race, with Chelsea also looking to bolster their frontline ahead of the 2025/26 season. The Blues’ recent qualification for the Champions League has further strengthened their appeal to potential recruits, including Sesko.

“The club has given me a lot and continues to give me a lot every day,” he said. “It’s a great club to develop at.”

Looking ahead, the young striker made it clear that his next move will be based on what suits him best.

“In the future, I want to play for a club that suits me, that brings out the best in me. That’s the most important thing for me,” Sesko added.

“For now, I’m a player for RB Leipzig, so I’m taking it day by day. If a transfer happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, then it doesn’t.”
