An Arsenal star has had to be stretchered off during a game at Euro 2024, after suffering what appears to be a serious knee injury.
Kieran Tierney had been playing an integral role for Scotland as they were battling in an attempt to beat Switzerland on Wednesday evening but, on the hour mark, the defender suffered an injury, and went down in what can only be described as agony.
After treatment on the pitch, where Tierney could be seen holding his hamstring, the 27-year-old had to be stretchered off and continued to look to be in serious pain as he was carried from the pitch.

Tierney has seen his once glistening career plagued by what has felt like near-constant injuries, with this latest setback being a tough blow for the Scot.
He spent the 2023/24 season on loan at Real Sociedad but, as has become an all too common theme for Tierney, spent most of the season sidelined with multiple injuries.
He had been widely expected to depart the Gunners this summer and, depending on the severity of his latest injury, these plans could now be thrown into chaos, a big blow for Arsenal’s summer transfer plans.

Before his injury against Switzerland, Tierney had been linked with a move across London to Fulham – as a replacement for Antonee Robinson, who is expected to depart the Cottagers this summer.
Arsenal and Scotland fans alike sent messages of support to Tierney following his injury, with one on X (formerly Twitter) saying: “There was a time when Tierney was the best performer for us, injury took so much from him each time. Will always love and support this lad.”
