Arsenal are expected to receive more than £173.7 million from the Premier League following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, which saw them finish second behind runaway champions Liverpool.
The Premier League will distribute its central revenue at the end of the campaign, with the Gunners securing a significant windfall despite missing out on the title. While second place represents continued progress under manager Mikel Arteta, it remains just short of their ultimate objective for the season.
According to a report from Football 365, Premier League clubs shared a total of £2.84 billion last season, with earnings distributed through six different payment streams, including prize money, broadcast revenue, and commercial income. The difference in prize money between each league position was estimated at £2.8 million for the 2023/24 season — slightly down from £3.1 million the previous year.

Based on current estimates, Arsenal will earn around £53.5 million in merit-based prize money, while champions Liverpool are expected to collect £56.4 million. The third-placed team is projected to receive £50.7 million, with fourth and fifth place taking home £47.9 million and £45.1 million respectively.
In addition to final league position payments, clubs also earn facility fees — based on how frequently their matches are broadcast live in the UK. Arsenal had 31 games televised during the 2023/24 season, receiving £26.9 million, the highest among all Premier League sides. Liverpool followed closely with 29 games, bringing in £25.2 million.
The same pattern is expected to repeat this season, with Arsenal and Liverpool once again leading in broadcast selections. Each televised fixture brings in an estimated £800,000, though the actual figure may vary slightly.
Taking all sources of revenue into account — including TV rights, commercial payments, merit-based rewards and facility fees — Arsenal’s total earnings from the Premier League are projected to exceed £173.7 million, while Liverpool could surpass £176.6 million. Third, fourth and fifth-placed clubs are also set to receive substantial payouts, estimated at £167.6 million, £164.8 million, and £162 million respectively.

Despite falling short of the Premier League title, Arsenal secured Champions League qualification for a third consecutive season with a crucial 1-0 victory over Newcastle United in their penultimate game.
Speaking after the match, Mikel Arteta reflected on his team’s development: “I know what we’ve been through for nine and a half months,” Arteta said. “I know what we’ve done. I know very well the history of the Premier League and the teams that have been in 30% of the situations that we’ve been in. They have collapsed — completely collapsed — and we haven’t. I really value that because it shows we’ve built something that is sustainable and consistent.”
With another strong season behind them and a major financial boost ahead of the summer transfer window, Arsenal will look to build further and close the gap on Liverpool in 2025/26.
