Arsenal have reignited their interest in Las Palmas midfielder Alberto Moleiro as Mikel Arteta’s side prepares for a summer of crucial decisions and squad reinforcement.
According to Matteo Moretto of Relevo, there is an agreement in place that would allow Moleiro to leave Las Palmas at the end of the season, regardless of whether the club avoids relegation. The 21-year-old Spanish talent is attracting widespread attention, with clubs in the Premier League, La Liga, and Saudi Pro League all closely monitoring his situation.
Arsenal, long-time admirers of Moleiro, are reportedly among the frontrunners. Spanish outlet Fichajes previously linked the Gunners with a potential January move for the attacking midfielder, who has a €60 million (£50m) release clause in his contract.

Moleiro has emerged as one of the brightest young talents in La Liga this season, scoring six goals in 36 appearances and earning comparisons to Barcelona legend Andrés Iniesta for his creativity, dribbling, and vision. He is currently Las Palmas’ most prolific dribbler and ranks joint-top for shots attempted per 90 minutes, according to WhoScored.

The versatile midfielder is capable of playing as a central attacking playmaker or on the wings — a trait that would add tactical flexibility to Arteta’s attacking setup. With club captain Martin Ødegaard firmly established in the No.10 role, Moleiro could either complement or provide depth alongside the Norwegian, offering Arsenal another creative outlet in tight games.

Arsenal are widely expected to target an attacking midfielder this summer, with Fábio Vieira having spent the 2024/25 season on loan at FC Porto, where he contributed five goals and four assists in 36 appearances. Moleiro’s technical quality and ability to operate in multiple roles make him an appealing option for Arteta’s fluid and high-intensity system.
While Villarreal and Newcastle United are also reportedly interested, Arsenal’s need for depth and creativity in midfield could give them the edge. With a big summer ahead, securing a player of Moleiro’s potential would be a strategic move as the Gunners look to go one step further in their pursuit of silverware.
