Arsenal keen on Real Sociedad attacker Takefusa Kubo

Arsenal have continued to knock on the door of Real Sociedad attacker Takefusa Kubo having attempted to sign him during the January transfer window, according to Spanish outlet Diario AS.
The Japan international could leave the La Liga club this summer after they failed to seal European qualification for next season, and the Gunners are interested.
Arsenal are already looking to sign Martin Zubimendi from Sociedad, and a deal for Kubo, once dubbed a ‘world class player’, could also be on the cards.
The 23-year-old recently changed his representatives, and a meeting with Sociedad is expected in the coming days to determine his future.
The Arsenal target has been offered a four-year contract worth €160 million by a Saudi Arabian club, but he rejected it, insisting he wants to continue playing against the best teams in the world.
A move to the Premier League could now be appealing to him having played for four teams in the Spanish top-flight.
Kubo has a €60m release clause, which the Gunners will likely not have a problem activating as they look to bolster their attack.
While the former Real Madrid winger primarily plays on the right, he has also lined up on the left and behind a striker and as a striker, and his versatility will come in handy at the North London club.
Kubo has 23 goals and 18 assists in three seasons at Sociedad, and he has played almost 300 games as a professional.
It remains to be seen whether the Barcelona academy graduate can fulfil his huge potential, but a move to a club like Arsenal could bring out the best in him if he gets to play and learn regularly under manager Mikel Arteta.
