Arsenal are interested in signing Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo this summer

Arsenal are interested in recruiting the services of Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo this summer, according to Italian transfer expert and journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 25-year-old has been on the radar of the Gunners for a while having been linked with an interest in him last summer, and his outstanding campaign makes him a target once again.

Mbeumo notched 20 goals and seven assists in 38 Premier League games in 2024-25 after ending 2023-24 with nine goals and seven assists, and Arsenal could do with his quality and versatility in their attack.

However, the North London club will be facing fierce competition from Manchester United and Newcastle United for him, and more suitors could also emerge for his services in the coming weeks.

Brentford are expected to demand around £50 million from interested clubs to sell the Cameroon international, and the Gunners could be open to doing a deal.

While he mainly plays on the right, Mbeumo can also play as a number 9 and could be the answer to the striking woes currently beleaguering Arsenal.

Bukayo Saka remains the first-choice right winger for the Gunners, and whether manager Mikel Arteta sees the Brentford star as a player capable of leading the line at the Emirates Stadium club remains to be seen.
