Ademola Lookman has become one of the most in-demand players of the summer transfer window, with Arsenal reportedly stepping up their efforts to sign the Atalanta and Nigeria forward. The 27-year-old’s standout performances in Serie A have put him on the radar of several elite European clubs this summer.
As reported by Caught Offside, Arsenal have identified Lookman as a key summer target and believe his attacking profile is well-suited to Mikel Arteta’s tactical setup.
Admired for his pace, flair, and positional versatility, Lookman is seen as a valuable option who can operate across the front three — providing much-needed depth and flexibility as the Gunners prepare for another demanding season in the Premier League and Champions League.

Arteta is said to be a firm admirer of Lookman’s ability to create and finish chances in tight spaces, with the Arsenal hierarchy viewing the former RB Leipzig and Everton man as a natural addition to a squad looking to end a five-year trophy drought.

However, Arsenal’s pursuit is far from straightforward. Atalanta are expected to demand a premium fee for Lookman, who played a crucial role in their successful season. His value has only increased amid interest from Liverpool, Juventus, Inter Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain — clubs who could challenge Arsenal both financially and in terms of offering starting opportunities.

One major factor in Lookman’s decision will be his role. While Arteta can offer a spot in a competitive squad, immediate starts may not be guaranteed with Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Leandro Trossard already established in wide areas.
The Gunners may need to present a compelling long-term vision to convince Lookman. If they can position him as a key contributor with opportunities to start regularly and compete for silverware, Arsenal could win the player’s approval. But should the deal evolve into a bidding war, clubs with more urgent attacking needs could gain the upper hand.
