Man Utd confirm three departures but goalkeeper expected to sign new contract

Manchester United have confirmed the departures of three players following the 2-0 Premier League win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford on Sunday.
The Red Devils ended the season on a positive note with a victory over the Villans.
They dominated proceedings in the opening half and were handed a huge advantage before the break with Emiliano Martinez’s straight red card.
United capitalised on the same to score two goals. Amad Diallo broke the deadlock before Christian Eriksen scored late from the penalty spot.
Villa could have scored the opening goal of the game, but goalkeeper Altay Bayindir was fortunate as the referee blew his whistle before the ball went into the net.
Shortly after the game, United confirmed that Eriksen, Victor Lindelof and Jonny Evans would be leaving the club. The trio’s contract will formally expire at the end of June.
Eriksen and Lindelof won’t be travelling for the two post-season friendlies in Asia. However, the fans will have another chance to bid farewell to Evans this month.
Meanwhile, third-choice goalkeeper Tom Heaton did not bid farewell at Old Trafford yesterday as he is expected to put pen-to-paper on a new short-term deal.
The 39-year-old has not made an appearance for United in the last two seasons, but the club obviously value his experience around the first-team group for another year.
Bayindir and Andre Onana have been unconvincing in goal over the last year. There is a possibility that the former could head for the exit door in the search for more minutes.
The Turkish star made just 10 appearances this term with four of those in the league.
It remains to be seen whether the club pursue a replacement if he were to leave. Heaton has not played for two seasons but has proved a solid Premier League goalkeeper in the past.
