Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya has secured the Premier League Golden Glove award for the second consecutive season, sharing the honour this year with Nottingham Forest’s Matz Sels.
Both shot-stoppers finished the campaign with 13 clean sheets, unable to pull ahead on the final day. Raya conceded a goal in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Southampton, beaten by a Ross Stewart strike, while Sels also saw his net breached by Levi Colwill during Forest’s clash with Chelsea, costing his side a potential spot in the Champions League.
Despite not claiming the award outright, Raya joins an elite group of just four goalkeepers to have retained the Golden Glove. The Spaniard now stands alongside Liverpool legend Pepe Reina and Manchester City duo Joe Hart and Ederson in Premier League history.

Looking ahead, Raya is already eyeing a third consecutive triumph next season—an achievement previously managed only by Reina and Hart.

“I’m delighted to keep it,” Raya said. “As I’ve always said, it’s not just about me. It starts with everyone on the pitch—it’s a collective effort. Even though the keepers get the award, it’s a credit to the whole team.”

Raya highlighted the defensive resilience Arsenal showed throughout the season, especially in the face of injuries. “We had a lot of injuries and played with different back fours. Today we had KT [Kieran Tierney] at centre-back, Zinchenko back at left-back, Kuba [Kiwior] on the right side of defence, and Ben White at right-back. That shows the team’s willingness to keep doing the right things.”
Raya featured in every Premier League game for the Gunners this season but kept only two clean sheets in his final nine appearances. His shutout against Newcastle, combined with Sels conceding late against West Ham, proved decisive in him retaining the award.
“To achieve something like this at a club like Arsenal is incredible,” Raya added. “It’s a special moment, and I’m very proud. Now, let’s go for the third one.”
