Arsenal are closing in on a new contract for forward Leandro Trossard, with negotiations now at an advanced stage and all parties increasingly confident of reaching a full agreement, according to BBC Sports.
The Belgian international, whose current deal runs until 2027, has been in discussions with the club since January. Despite attracting interest from Saudi Arabian clubs, Trossard has made it clear that his preference is to remain at the Emirates Stadium. Talks have accelerated in recent weeks under new sporting director Andrea Berta, and sources suggest a positive outcome is now likely.
Trossard, 30, has established himself as a key figure under Mikel Arteta since arriving from Brighton & Hove Albion in 2023. He has made 123 appearances and scored 28 goals across all competitions for the Gunners.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have reiterated their commitment to Gabriel Martinelli despite speculation surrounding his future. The Brazilian winger has been informed he remains an integral part of the club’s long-term plans, even though no fresh contract talks have been opened.

Martinelli, 23, signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract in February 2023, tying him to the club until 2027 with an option for an additional year. However, his form dipped this past season, registering 10 goals and five assists in 50 appearances, many of them from the bench.

According to The Athletic, Arsenal are not prioritising a new deal for Martinelli at this stage but may reassess their position should a significant offer arrive. The club reportedly values the Brazilian at over £50 million.
Arsenal’s stance on Martinelli comes amid their push to reinforce the left wing ahead of next season. The North London side have been linked with a number of top attacking talents, including Real Madrid’s Rodrygo and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, as Arteta looks to add more firepower to his squad.
