Talks underway as Arsenal intensify efforts to sign €100m Brazilian superstar

Arsenal could be set to make a major signing at the start of the summer transfer window, with a bold move for Real Madrid winger Rodrygo Goes reportedly being considered.
According to reports from Florian Plettenberg, the Gunners are seriously considering a deal for the 24-year-old, with initial talks already underway behind the scenes. Rodrygo, valued at 100 million euros on Transfermarkt, is reportedly a potential departure candidate this summer.
The Brazilian star has favoured playing on the left but has had to play on the right due to the presence of Vinicius Jr. and Kylian Mbappe. With the rise of Endrick, Rodrygo may lose his first XI berth under Xabi Alonso, making a move to Arsenal an attractive option.

Arsenal sees an opportunity to swoop for Rodrygo as Mikel Arteta looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Although the deal is expected to be challenging due to Rodrygo’s status and likely high asking price, Arsenal is currently exploring all possible options to make the transfer happen.
The Gunners have huge ambitions for this window and could view Rodrygo as a marquee signing to elevate their forward line.

Rodrygo’s technical ability, Champions League experience, and versatility across the front three would make him an ideal fit for Arteta’s dynamic system. Adding a player of Rodrygo’s calibre would undoubtedly give Arsenal more firepower in their push for Premier League and European glory.
The talented Brazilian forward has played seven seasons for Real Madrid; during this time, he played 273 matches and scored 67 goals.
