Arsenal’s quest to bolster their attack has zeroed in on Brentford’s prolific winger, Bryan Mbeumo, as a prime target for the summer 2025 transfer window.
The 25-year-old Cameroon international, with 18 Premier League goals this season, has caught Mikel Arteta’s eye, offering versatility and firepower to a Gunners side aiming to reclaim the title.
Mbeumo’s 2024-25 campaign has been stellar, with 21 goal involvements (18 goals, three assists) in 38 matches, trailing only Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland in top-flight scoring.

Arsenal’s interest, per CaughtOffside, dates back to last summer’s late inquiry, with Brentford’s €60m (£50-55m) valuation now a benchmark for negotiations.
The Gunners’ need for attacking depth is evident. Bukayo Saka’s injury exposed their reliance on the star winger, while Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard have been inconsistent.
Mbeumo, described as a “mini-Salah” by talkSPORT’s Jason Cundy, could ease Saka’s workload and add clinical finishing. His 1.71m frame, left-footed cuts, and 5.2 shots per game (second in the league) align with Arsenal’s high-pressing style.

Brentford, however, won’t let Mbeumo go easily. His contract, running until 2026 with a 12-month extension option, strengthens their position.
Manager Thomas Frank has praised Mbeumo’s “fantastic” form, but admitted a summer exit is possible if the price is right. Arsenal face competition from Newcastle, Liverpool, and Manchester United.
