The Gunners’ interest is genuine, with reports from The Athletic confirming Arsenal’s enquiries. However, competition is fierce—Liverpool, Manchester City, and Chelsea are also circling, with City reportedly holding talks with Rodrygo’s camp.

Arsenal’s prior dealings with Real Madrid, including £87.5m spent on three players, could give them an edge in negotiations. Yet, the £85m valuation may stretch Arsenal’s budget, especially with plans for a striker like Viktor Gyokeres and midfielder Martin Zubimendi.
