Arsenal have announced a transfer fee of £30 million for midfielder Thomas Partey as the summer transfer window heats up. Despite a slow start in the market, the Gunners are poised for significant moves after narrowly missing out on the Premier League title to Manchester City last season.

Arsenal’s transfer strategy includes strengthening their forward line, with a priority on securing a top-tier striker and winger. A new midfielder is also on the agenda, contingent on outgoing transfers. Emile Smith Rowe, Reiss Nelson, and Aaron Ramsdale are all rumored to be potential departures, which could influence the club’s transfer funds.

Partey, who joined Arsenal from Atletico Madrid in 2020 for £45 million, has been a pivotal player for the team, amassing over 110 appearances. However, his tenure has been plagued by injuries, particularly in the 2023/24 season, where he missed 34 games and played under 900 minutes in 16 matches.

With clubs in Saudi Arabia reportedly offering a lucrative deal for Partey, Arsenal are ready to sell. The 31-year-old’s current contract expires next summer, making this an opportune time for the club to secure a return on their investment. Arsenal’s decision is influenced by Partey’s recent injury record, and they are keen to avoid potential future losses.

According to sources at Football Insider, Arsenal hope to maximize the interest from the Middle East with their £30 million asking price. If Partey exits, the funds will be reinvested into acquiring a younger midfielder to partner with Declan Rice, as Arsenal aim to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.

The Gunners are actively scouting for Partey’s replacement, signaling a crucial transfer window as they strive to strengthen their squad for another title challenge.

Names linked with a move to Arsenal include Everton’s Amadou Onana, Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi, Aston Villa’s Douglas Luiz and Newcastle United midfielder Bruno Guimaraes.
