Paris Saint-Germain have released a crucial injury update on star forward Ousmane Dembele and centre-back Presnel Kimpembe ahead of their Champions League semi-final second-leg match against Arsenal.
On Friday, PSG confirmed that Dembele has suffered a hamstring strain, which puts his participation in doubt for the high-stakes clash against Mikel Arteta’s men.
Dembele, who scored the decisive goal in the first leg, has been a pivotal player for PSG this season, netting 33 goals across all competitions. His potential absence would be a significant blow to PSG’s chances of advancing to the Champions League final.

According to the club’s medical statement, Dembele’s condition is progressing well, and a further assessment will be carried out shortly to determine the extent of the injury. PSG boss Luis Enrique confirmed at his pre-match press conference on Friday that Dembele will miss Saturday’s Ligue 1 fixture against Strasbourg.
Meanwhile, centre-back Presnel Kimpembe will be out of action for several weeks after suffering a foot injury. Kimpembe, who has been a key figure in PSG’s defence, will miss the Arsenal game due to bone edema in the second metatarsal of his right foot.
The injury update comes as PSG prepares to face Arsenal in the Champions League semi-final second leg, a match that promises to be a thrilling encounter. With Dembele’s participation in doubt, PSG will need to rely on other players to step up and make an impact.
Enrique, speaking at his press conference, refused to confirm whether he would rotate his team for the Strasbourg match, saying, “You will see that tomorrow.” However, he emphasized that PSG will maintain their usual approach in Ligue 1, despite having already wrapped up the title.

“We’re going to do what we’ve been doing up to now, with the same idea. Nothing has changed,” Enrique added.

Ousmane Dembele has been PSG stand out player this season and his likely not taking part in the crucial second leg encounter may have boosted Arsenal’s hope of making it to their first UCL final since 2006.
Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta has also provided updates on his team’s injury situation with Kai Havertz and Jorginho likely missing the clash to injury.
